In its effort to develop new business opportunities and grow its presence in West Africa, global transport and logistics company Kuehne+Nagel has appointed Alexandre Muratore as Managing Director of the newly established West Africa Cluster.
According to AirCargo News, the new West Africa cluster will include Senegal, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Togo, Benin, Mauritania and Guinea Bissau. Muratore, who will be based in Abidjan, will occupy the role of managing director and is tasked with developing new business opportunities and growing the forwarder’s presence in the region as part of a wider strategy to expand its footprint on the continent.
His career with K+N began in 2014 as district branch manager and national sea logistics manager in Angola. In his most recent role, he was the managing director of K+N Qatar. Lee I’Ons, president of K+N Middle East and Africa, said: “Kuehne+Nagel is strengthening its leadership team to support the company’s continued growth and success in the Middle East and Africa region.
“Alexandre Muratore’s appointment as managing director of the West Africa Cluster will drive new business opportunities, leveraging his extensive knowledge of the region.” Bradley Francis, until now regional business development manager, healthcare, Middle East and Africa, replaces Alexandre as managing director of Kuehne+Nagel Qatar.
