President John Mahama has indicated Ghana will from next year have a direct flight to France.
According to him, the move is part of efforts to make Ghana become an aviation hub in Africa due to its strategic location.
Modalities of the airline to offer the direct flight is yet to be known. He made this comment on his arrival from France on a state visit. He further briefed the media on some of the bilateral talks he had with France President, François Hollande.
“During my visit with the business community in France, the chief executive of Air France announced that from next year spring they are going to start direct flight from Accra to Paris and I believe that it falls in line with our vision for making Accra a major aviation hub in West Africa,” President Mahama stated.
