Aviation: Air Malta’s former COO joins Nigerian carrier Green Africa Airways

Nigerian carrier Green Africa Airways, has appointed former Air Malta Chief Operations Officer (COO) Paul Fabian in a senior management position.

According to Who’sWho, prior to joining Air Malta, Mr Fabian spent 15 years at United Arab Emirates-based airline Emirates, where he was Vice-President of the Network Control Unit.

At Emirates, he had direct control of all critical operational units, such as flight dispatch, flight-crew administrative support as well as group security.

Mr Fabian also holds an MBA from Australia’s Bond University. Green Africa Airways is a low-cost airline that based in Lagos, Nigeria, founded by current CEO Babawande Afolabi in 2015, yet it only commenced flights last August.

It seeks to offer its customers “safe, reliable and affordable air travel” to a wide array of destinations within Nigeria, with there also being plans to expand its services to other African countries.
