ASKY Airlines, the West African based carrier has signed a multiyear agreement with Sabre to use its passenger services system and retailing platform.
The regional airline, based in Lomé, Togo flies to 22 destinations across 20 countries in West and Central Africa, and will use Sabre technology to expand shopping and payment options and improve airport operations, according to Sabre.
As the recovery of international travel into Africa is likely to be slow, regional carriers like ASKY are “ideally positioned to tap into the future expected growth in domestic and regional travel” and have “a significant opportunity to contribute to the recovery of the African aviation industry from COVID-19,” according to Dino Gelmetti, Sabre Travel Solutions VP for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
