According to a report on rfi.fr, the airport attained this hight as a result of the Gabonese government’s investment in the renewal of its equipments, the safety of the airstrip, the marking and especially the training of its teams.

ICAO handed over the certification on May 8th 2021 after a 2-year of work and audits on the quality and safety of the Airport’s infrastructures.
