The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has issued a statement debunking the rumours surrounding the release of guidelines for flights resumption in the country.

In a press release issued today, May 16, 2020 and duly signed by the General Manager (Corporate Affairs), Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, FAAN stated that its attention “has been drawn to a statement released by a certain Tayo Olu today, May 16, 2020 to the effect that the Federal Government of Nigeria, through FAAN has released a post- Covid 19 travel guideline for air travellers.”

FAAN enjoined air travellers and the general public to ignore the content of the said release, as it emphatically stated that though it is carefully and seriously working on a guideline, the release did not emanate from them.

According to FAAN, a post-Covid 19 travel guideline is still a work in progress and will be released at the appropriate time via “our official communication medium.”

FAAN is Committed to her core values of Safety, Security and Comfort.
