Africa: Cabo Verde Airline suspends Lagos route’ over Coronavirus

The airline in a statement said, due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, many countries are imposing a temporary ban on inbound travel from countries with large numbers of infections adding that the situation has had a profound negative effect on the demand for passenger flights worldwide.

Cabo verde said considering both economic and environmental consequences it has become necessary for airlines to respond to the lower demand by reducing flight schedules.

“In line with the above, Cabo Verde Airlines will suspend the route Sal – Lagos – Sal during the period between March 16th and May 31st 2020. Cabo Verde Airlines will provide a full refund to customers who purchased tickets for the cancelled flights.” It said.
