The Ghanaian Chef Association are presently in seventh heaven as Chef Joe Wilson Tetteh Vice President Ghanaian Chef association has been elected into the hall of fame, Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF) as Vice President.
The Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF) is the highest organization established to champion the cause of the private sector in Ghana’s tourism industry.
GHATOF comprises of presidents of various tourism associations in Ghana meeting to discuss issues affecting the tourism industry and addressing issues.
The result of the election was announced today the 14th of February 2018.
The Ghanaian Tourism Federation previously had Okatakyie Nana Anim as President, Ms Bella Ahu as Vice President and Ms Nancy Sam as Treasurer.
The new executives now includes . Mad. Bella Ahu- National President, Mr. Joe Wilson Tetteh- National Vice President, Nana Kojo Opei- National Treasurer. This clearly indicates that the Ghanaian Culinary Tourism is taking a great turn in 2018.
According to Chef Joe Wilson Tetteh; Grateful to be the first Chef to be elected the this position since the inception the federation.
My being there is to see the unity, development and the ultimate growth of Tourism in Ghana in general and for the Chefs Association. My election will be a motivation to stem out mediocrity in the chef and all culinary persons and aspire for high professional standards in the culinary industry to impact positively on the Tourism product Ghana offers.’’
The election is over Bella (HI) pulled 45 votes while Akwei ( Ghana Hotels) had 25, Joseph Tetteh (CHEF) 46, Awuku ( Tour Guide) 24, Nana Opey (Progressive Hotels) 58.
