Africa: Dana Air takes delivery of B737-300

Dana Air, one of Nigeria’s domestic carriers has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737-300 aircraft.

The aircraft which arrived the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos was received with water cannon showers from men of the firefighters of the Federal Airport Authority Nigeria (FAAN), to the admiration of stakeholders in the industry.

The airline is reputed for its innovative online products and services, world-class in-flight service and unrivalled on-time departures and arrivals.

Last year, Dana Air stated that it has flown over 2.7 million passengers in the last 9 years of its operations.

The airline in partnership with Asky Airline had previously introduced a B737-700 for its ‘Early Bird’ flights between Lagos and Abuja in 2018.

Media and Communications Manager, Dana Air Kingsley Ezenwa, had said the B737 aircraft will be used on the Lagos-Abuja route.

Before now Dana operates with its fleet of Boeing McDonnell 83, (MD 83), aircraft and this will be the newest addition to its fleet.
