Hotels in Africa: Sarovar Opens in South Sudan plans 10 for Africa

One of the fastest growing hotel chains in the country, Sarovar Hotels, is planning to operate 10 hotels in Africa in the next five years and has already forayed into South Sudan by taking over management of Panorama hotel as part of its expansion plans.
Now rebranded as The Panorama Sarovar Portico, Juba, it is Sarovar Hotels’ fourth operational hotel in Africa. The group currently manages ‘The Heron Portico’ in Nairobi, ‘The Zehneria’ Portico in Nairobi, and ‘The New Africa Hotel’ in Dar-Es-Salaam – Tanzania.

Sarovar Hotels Pvt ED Ajay K Bakaya said: “It’s a major step in our development and expansion strategy and also in the next five years we are looking to operate 10 hotels in Africa.
Cuurently, Sarovar Hotels Pvt operates over 75 hotels in India and abroad with a total 6,000 rooms under various brands.
