Ire the Stage Devi thrills guest at Bogobiri
Adeola Itandire Adebo known as Ire the Stage Devi is a contemporary Folk Musician born in the eighties to an Ogun State Dad and an Edo Mum but was raised by her Grand Parents.
Her unique selling point is her ability to chant prepared or impromptu and has so far been adjudged as the only Nigerian Artiste that chants on a key without creating discordant sound giving her an edge in her field.
The name ‘Devi’ was given to her by an Indian Fan who confessed that his emotions were swung and his mood ‘mesmerised’ while she was on stage performing. For him, she is a goddess (Devi) whose title cannot be contested.
She has shared same stage with both local and international Acts like Mid Night Stars, Wesley Snipes, Femi Kuti, Tuface Idibia to mention a few. Ire D Stage Devi’s use of Yodel marvels her audience because its thickness according to some of them should come out from the body and voice of a large sized individual rather than a petite one like hers.
She is being Managed by Henrietta Ikediashi. Her Video ‘Agbajowo’ won an International Award at SICA Festival as the BEST indigenous Video in Africa (2013), YOMAFA Awards as the BEST traditional Female Artiste (2016) and TopNaija Music Awards as the Most Industrious Artiste of the year (2016)
