Africa: Kumneger Teketel, tourism promoter appointed Director of Addis Ababa Convention Bureau


Founder and Managing Director of Ozzie Business and Hospitality Group, Kumneger Teketel W/Gebriel, has been appointed as the Director, Addis Ababa Convention Bureau.

The East African mice expert was appointed to lead the agency by the Addis Ababa City Administration Cabinet and Mayor of City – Excellency Eng. Takele Uma.

Excellency Eng. Takele Uma will be the first mayor to establish a convention bureau in Ethiopia.

Mr. Kumneger Teketel is one of the Leading Hospitality/ International Hotel Consultancy Firm, Hotel Show Africa – International Hospitality and Tourism Investment Tradeshow, MICE East Africa and organized over 30 related side Forums. He holds an MBA, LLB. He is an Ethiopian citizen.

Mr. Kumneger as an active initiator of MICE industry plays his role by pushing MICE to be one of the pillars of the Economy. He took the initiation with the aim of enhancing Ethiopian and East African travel and meetings industry to the next level and supporting the nation future development through economic growth, and also touristic prominence to the city with MICE advancement. To this end, Mr. Kumneger advocates the most sought after MICE industry which has a prominent role in leading Ethiopian Tourism in connection to pushing the establishment of National Convention and Visitor Bureau in Ethiopia.
