Following the success of Ruzizi Tented Lodge in its first full year of operation, the 
Akagera Management Company has extended the accommodation offerings at the lodge to include a family tented suite for four guests and a luxury tree-top tented suite set on stilts four metres above the ground, overlooking Lake Ihema. The luxury option boasts polished wooden floors throughout, a double hammock on the deck, a luxurious king-sized bed, a freestanding bath, double sinks and an outdoor shower with spectacular views.
The new accommodation offerings bring to nine the total number of tented en suite rooms at Ruzizi with a combined capacity of 20 guests.
As testament to their experience, the first guests to stay in the tree-top tent last weekend have already booked another stay. Ruzizi has proven popular since it’s opening in late 2012 and has succeeded in maintaining a five star standard on popular travel review site, TripAdvisor.
Every guest stay at Ruzizi contributes directly to the protection and conservation of Rwanda’s only savannah park and 100% of the lodge’s profits go towards the long-term sustainability of the park.
