News: Africa Travel 100 under 40 award winner Dein Gbabo-Charles wins the RX Rising Star Award 2024 in Mexico

Dein Gbabo-Charles has been awarded the International Sales Group Rising Star of 2024 at the RX conference in Mexico.

The award recognizes her exceptional achievements in sales, innovation, and dedication within the global market.

The award celebrates individuals who demonstrate outstanding potential and performance in driving business growth and customer success across all shows. Dein’s contribution to new business growth played a pivotal role in earning this recognition.

The International Sales Group Rising Star Award is part of RX’s global initiative to spotlight excellence and foster innovation in the international sales group.

Mrs. Dein is currently a Portfolio Sales Manager at RX Global, a leading events and exhibition company based in London, United Kingdom with over 400 events organized across 22 countries worldwide. In her role, Dein supports UK companies with their export needs across Europe, Asia, and the United States through these impactful trade events.

In her immediate past role, she successfully managed the largest tourism exhibition in West Africa, the Akwaaba African Travel Market (AFTM). Additionally, she played a key role in managing other major events such as Accra Weizo in Ghana and Banjul Bantaba in The Gambia. She has contributed her expertise in coordinating international delegations for the Carnival Calabar in Nigeria.

Dein also held the position of General Secretary at the Nigerian Association of Tour Operators. She has contributed to developing sustainable tourism products and is a strong proponent of the Team Africa project with her vision to foster partnerships and networks between Africa and other parts of the world.

In 2023, she also won the Africa Travel 100 Under 40 Award organised by Akwaaba African Travel Market.
