Popular American streamer IShowSpeed (Darren Watkins Jr.) officially named Kenya as the standout highlight of his 28-day “Speed Does Africa” tour during an interview on February 12, 2026. He cited the “crazy” energy and the overwhelming reception in Nairobi as his single most unforgettable memory.
According to Ghanaweb, he admitted it was difficult to narrow down the experience but singled out Nairobi as the most memorable stop, citing the overwhelming turnout.

“My one single favorite memory, that’s a broad question because so much happened, but I would say my Kenya visit was crazy. The number of people who came out was unbelievable. I think it was maybe around 30,000 people from the city just to watch me stream and be part of the experience. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many people before. Just to think that I could pull that many in Africa… I was astonished,” he said.
During his Nairobi stream, IShowSpeed rode in a custom matatu convoy and immersed himself in Maasai culture, further cementing the city as a highlight of his tour.
