The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) has announced the appointment of former Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, GCON, as the new President of its Board of Trustees.
His appointment was confirmed during the Foundation’s 37th Annual General Meeting, marking a new chapter in the organisation’s efforts to advance environmental conservation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable development in Nigeria.
In his acceptance remarks, Prof. Osinbajo paid tribute to NCF’s founding fathers and acknowledged the remarkable leadership of outgoing President, Chief Philip Asiodu, whose vision and dedication over more than two decades have helped shape Nigeria’s conservation space.

He also honoured the enduring legacy of the late Chief S. L. Edu and the Foundation’s pioneering trustees.
Prof. Osinbajo expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in him and pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessors while strengthening collaboration with partners in advancing biodiversity conservation and climate action across Nigeria.
As we welcome Professor Yemi Osinbajo into this new role, we also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Chief Philip Asiodu for his decades of exceptional service and unwavering commitment to nature conservation.
