Algarve, Portugal is set to play host to entertainment lovers from around the world with Afro Nation Portugal 2024 to take place from June 26, 2024, to June 28, 2024.
The 2024 edition will be the festival’s fourth edition, having been first held in 2019 and subsequently in 2022, with a gap of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 2024 Afro Nation festival will feature performances by Rema, Asake and Nicki Minaj. According to The PunchNG, the lineup also features Omah Lay, Flavour, Odumodublvck, Seyi Vibez, Tyla, J Hus, Diamond Platnumz, The Composerz and Tyler ICU amongst others.
It could be recalled last year, the organizers had to cancel the inaugural Nigeria concert, expressing the desire to deliver a show of the highest quality. The organiser, however, did not provide details for the cancellation.
They wrote, “As disappointed as we are that we won’t be coming to Lagos this year, we want our homecoming show to be up to the standards you deserve. We’ll be back soon, bigger and better!” Afro Nation is known to be one of the largest global music concerts and serves as an annual celebration of Africans in the diaspora.
