Nigerian music superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has emerged as Africa’s highest-earning artiste on Spotify, cementing his position as one of the continent’s most influential musicians.
Music statistics monitoring platform, Chart Masters recently revealed the world’s artists earnings monthly earnings on Spotify and Wizkid emerged as Africa’s biggest earner with $1 million.
According to Nigerian Tribune, this ranking highlights the dominance of Nigerian artists globally, with Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy trailing in second place with $782,148 in monthly earnings. Tems follows closely in third with $660,210. South African singer Tyla is the only non-Nigerian on the list, earning $607,804 and securing the fourth spot.
