Nigerian striker and Napoli point man, Victor Osimhen has added another accolade to his growing list of individual honors.
According to brila.net, Osimhen was voted as Italian Serie A player of the year by the Athletic on Tuesday.
The award came days after he was given a national honor by the Nigerian government for his excellent work on and off the field.
Osimhen helped Napoli win its first Scudetto in 33 years and also reached Champions League quarter final for the first time in the Club’s history.
The 24-year-old scored 30 goals across all competitions and provided six assists for his teammates.
“This season he has delivered on his potential and doubled his valuation with a 30-goal season across all competitions,” the Athletic wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile his teammate, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia won the young player of the year award.
