Most Fashionable African Countries

Business Insider Africa has unveiled the top 10 most fashionable African countries of 2024, as reported by CEOWORLD magazine, with Seychelles leading the continent and ranking 58th worldwide for style.

Fashion, some say it’s all about Parisian chic, Milanese glamour, or New York’s boldness. But fashion is no longer confined to traditional powerhouses, the global stage now has room for diverse voices and cultures to make an impact.

Africa’s fashion scene has moved beyond “up-and-coming” and is now advancing rapidly, carving out a distinctive presence worldwide.

But what makes a country fashionable, anyway? Is it the iconic runway shows, the renowned designers, or the unmistakable street style? Or is it something more, a deeper cultural imprint that resonates globally?

According to a recent study by CEOWORLD magazine, France clinched the title of the most fashionable country in the world for 2024, followed closely by Italy and the United States in second and third positions.

The study, which evaluated factors such as the number of fashion schools, global fashion icons, opinions from prominent fashion journalists, affordability, and market size, sheds light on how these powerhouses have crafted an enduring legacy of style that shapes global fashion trends.

According to the report, Seychelles tops the list as Africa’s most fashionable country, ranking 58th globally. Mauritius follows in second place, securing the 72nd spot worldwide, while Libya ranks third in Africa and 80th globally.
