The age of sex robots or dolls have finally arrived. Robot sex dolls are becoming big business and manufacturers are now claiming their products are so realistic people are suddenly placing orders. Recently, a trend broke out all over the world about robot sex dolls and it has got celebrities, men and women talking about it and the craze to acquire such a doll has made it to the Nigeria social media space and this has got a lot of people taking about it.
Sex robots are essentially realistic dolls that have sophisticated movements that closely mimic humans so that they can romp. Prof Noel Sharkey, chairman of the Foundation for Responsible Robotics, said guilt-free threesomes was just one of the potential uses for sex robots. Others include “teledildonics” – wireless technology which allows a person to stimulate their partner remotely. Sex bots hyper-realistic with features such as built-in heaters to create the feeling of body warmth. They will also have sensors to react to your touch; and they come in both sex; Male and female. The skeleton frame is made out of bendable metal rods that allow flexibility so the dolls can be moved into almost any sexual position.
According to New Telegraph, some men are excited about these sex dolls because they feel it is not going to restrain them to just one woman. The doll is said to have
features as a woman and some men feel they are better off with a robot than being with a woman.
Some women have reacted and have even gone as far as uploading their pictures on social media, comparing themselves to the robot, trying to make the point that they are better than the robots. Popular Nigerian artiste, Wizkid also reacted to the sex doll trend by saying that these dolls sold for N800, 000 are too expensive and even prostitutes on the streets are cheaper. Although one person who has lent her voice on this is Nollywood actress, producer and self acclaimed sex goddess Seyi Hunter. According to her, nothing can replace the natural feel of a woman’s sex organs, arguing that only cowardly men will subscribe to the use of sex dolls.
“Sex doll can never be a threat to women; it is not possible because it can never be the same, hell no! It’s no threat. It’s impossible for sex dolls to replace ladies/women; the feel can’t be the same for God’s sake. A woman will always be a woman, soft and succulent, its only men with fear, men that have complex issues, men that can’t woo a woman that will get the sex doll,” she said.
However, she agreed that there is no harm in possessing one, but must be used only in the absence of a woman. “Having a sex doll is good, it can be used once in a while but it can’t take over the place of a woman, it is not possible because no matter how a doll is built, it can’t give the same pleasure I and every other woman out there will give. It can only be used to pass time or when there is no woman available; it can’t be the same as a woman,” she concluded.
Sexologist Lev Shcheglov shares concerns about the future of the sex dolls industry saying cyborg sex poses a serious danger to humans. He told Sputnik: “Sex with a robot is just a fake imitation. And it can lead to psychopathic disorders and isolation. “Sex with robots won’t bring into a person’s life the emotion effect that gives us a true communion. “You can eat pseudo-food to still hunger. But over time it will still end badly.” It could be recalled that www.atqnews.com published a
story about the first brothel that serves only dolls for sex opened and closed abruptly in Barcelona, Spain in March 2017.
