Contribution to National Effort in Tourism Promotion
• Sunseekers Tours took the initiative in partnering with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) on an initiative to change Ghana’s Airline charter laws to enable the country be an attractive destination for Charter Operations. During 2017, we accompanied GTA and Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) on a fact finding mission to understudy what factors can be adapted to make Charter Operators work in Ghana. The commencement of Charter Operations is expected in no small way to continue to an increase in Ghaan’s tourism arrival numbers.
•Sunseekers Tours has continued with our annual Sales Blitz to the USA which commenced in 1996. This has led to Ghana being promoted over the years in over 38 states in the USA. Through these Sales Promotional drives, Sunseekers Tours always markets Ghana as a destination at our own expense to Social groups, churches, schools (High Schools, Colleges and Universities) Sororities & Fraternities and individuals.
•Our continued promotion of Ghana has led to cruise companies such as Saga Shipping in the UK and Silversea Cruises in the USA adopting the Tema Port as a Turn-around Port, among others.

CORPORATE ACHIEVMENTS & AWARDS: Tourism Industry Awards won by Sunseekers Tours over the years include 1. 2016: National Tourism Award– (Ghana Tourism Authority) Tour Operator of the Year; 2. 2016: Regional Tourism Award – (Ghana Tourism Authority) Tour Operator of the Year for Greater Accra; 3. 2013; 10 National Tourism Award – (Ghana Tourist Board) Tour Operator of the Year; 4. 2013: Regional Tourism Award – (Ghana Tourist Board) Tour Operator of the Year for Greater Accra, among so many others.

Sunseekers Tours is the only company in Ghana that has handled two 6*(Star) rated cruise ships from Crystal Cruises back to back; Crystal Symphony November 2001 and Crystal serenity in April 2011 & 2014, each having over 1,600 passengers on board. Currently, Sunseekers Tours handles about 80 percent of all cruise ships port calls to Ghana and we have handled over 65 port calls since 2003.
