Kenya Airways Group Managing Director and CEO, Allan Kilavuka, and Aga Khan University Hospital CEO, Rashid Khalani, have signed a landmark agreement to strengthen medical travel across Africa.
The partnership, under the airline’s healthcare division KQ Health, seeks to make it easier for patients to access quality medical treatment within the continent, reducing the need for overseas travel.
According to a post on the official X of Kenya Airways, the event brought together key industry leaders and stakeholders, including Dorothy Oselu, representative from the Ministry of Transport, State Department for Aviation & Aerospace Development; Dr. Nazila Ganatra, Director, Health Products and Technologies, State Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Health; Ms. Betty Ichan, Director of Market Development at the Kenya Tourism Board; Dr. Elizabeth Gitau, CEO of the Kenya Healthcare Federation; and representatives from Port Health led by Mr. Murkomen, among others.

Through this partnership, Kenya Airways and Aga Khan University Hospital will work together to make medical travel more accessible and seamless, linking the airline’s regional network with Aga Khan’s advanced medical expertise.
