Forbes’ wealthiest female singer, Rihanna, says she is originally an Igbo woman. The ‘Umbrella’ crooner who’s net worth is $1.7 billion disclosed this in a recent interview saying that her mother disclosed her real origin to her that she is primarily an Igbo woman.
According to thenewsguru.com, Rihanna’s other fortune comes from her lingerie company, which is worth another $270 million while not forgetting her branded earrings.

She said: “My mom told me that I am originally an Igbo woman. Igbo is a tribe in Africa. Rihanna’s mother is an Afro-Guyanese, while her father is a Barbadian of African and Irish descent.
It could also be recalled that former boxing champion Deontay Wilder also recently claimed Nigerian heritage. In a publication by atqnews.com, Wilder had announced that his DNA ancestry shows that he is from Edo state, Nigeria.
“I want to go back and learn more about my culture and information with things about me. Once I’m done with what I’m doing, I’m going back to see my tribe Edo. I want to see my culture and my ancestors and learn a lot of things. We all have lots of things that we are connected to that we know nothing about. I’ll love to go there and do research about my roots and my tribe,” said the boxer.
