Pan-Africanist scholar Professor PLO Lumumba has called on African governments to take a firm diplomatic stance against South Africa over the alleged mistreatment of fellow Africans living in the country.
Speaking on the issue, Lumumba urged African nations to recall their ambassadors from Pretoria for consultations and, in return, ask South African ambassadors in their respective countries to return home. He argued that such diplomatic measures would send a strong message against actions that undermine African unity and solidarity.
The renowned scholar described South Africa as “a danger to African unity” and stressed that African leaders have a responsibility to speak out and protect the principles of Pan-Africanism. According to him, African countries must act collectively to safeguard the dignity and rights of Africans across the continent.
