Africa: Abuja New Terminal welcomes the 5th Airline, Emirates

Middle East mega carrier, Emirates airlines has stated operating into the newly completed Abuja terminal making it the fifth airline to commence operation into the airport.

The carrier which started operating Wednesday, into the airport arrived with 179 passengers on board a B777 aircraft and with 16 crew members.

The airline later departed the airport with 222 passengers.

Earlier, Africa’s largest carrier, Ethiopian airlines had moved its operation into the newly constructed airport in January, join Asky Airlines which was the first to start flight operations from the terminal.
Also, Air Cote d’lvoire had earlier commenced operation into the Abuja international airport.
