Senegalese carrier, Air Senegal has expressed optimism over its operation in Nigeria’s aviation industry as it commenced its inaugural flight into the country.
Speaking at a ceremony to mark its inaugural flight into Nigeria, First Secretary to the Ambassador of Senegal to Nigeria, Sidy Gabar, said the airline is excited to have commenced it flight into Lagos which is one of the busiest hub in West Africa.
According to him, the airline intends to leverage on the traffic in the sector to generate more revenue for the carrier saying that the route will be profitable to Air Senegal.
While expressing the airline’s gratitude to the Nigerian government in facilitating its coming into the country, he said the commencement of Air Senegal’s flight operation into the country is the beginning of greater things to come.
International Terminal Manager, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Mrs Victoria Shin-Aba, said the government working to ensure that all airlines in West Africa get the best of service at the terminal.
She said the government is putting measures in place to ensure that the airport is the hub for West African airlines operating into the country.
