Burundi and Uganda hold significant, yet largely untapped, tourism potential with natural beauty, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural heritage.

According to tieaeduc.com, H.E. Jean Bosco Barege Burundi’s Ambassador to Uganda with Mr. Francis Mugoga-Director: Tourism Institute of East Africa. Francis made a courtesy call to the Ambassador and they discussed developing tourism and hospitality potential in Burundi.

Burundi has some of the beautiful beaches in Africa along Lake Tanganyika. Lake Tanganyika is an African Great Lake. It is the second oldest freshwater lake in the world, the second largest by volume, and the second deepest, in all cases after Lake Baikal in Siberia; it is also the world’s longest freshwater lake.
