The Chief Executive Officer of ASKY Airlines, West and Central Africa’s leading regional carrier, Esayas Woldemariam Hailu, will headline discussions at the 5th CHINET Aviacargo Conference, delivering insights on the topic: “Airlines Profitability and its Role in Cargo Development in West Africa.”
The conference, scheduled for 16th September 2025 at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, will bring together leading voices in the cargo, logistics, and aviation sectors to address pressing issues affecting air cargo growth, export facilitation, and the e-commerce value chain across the sub-region.
Speaking ahead of the event, the organisers noted that the participation of the ASKY Airlines CEO is significant given the airline’s strategic role in improving air connectivity and cargo capacity in West Africa. His address will explore how sustainable airline profitability directly supports cargo expansion, fosters regional trade, and strengthens the continent’s position in global supply chains.

This year’s CHINET Aviacargo Conference will be held in conjunction with the 21st Akwaaba African Travel Market, which runs from 14th to 16th September 2025. The Akwaaba expo which is West Africa’s leading travel exhibition, expected to attract over 3,000 exhibitors and participants from across the continent and beyond.
