Africa: Egypt, Cameroon discusses strengthening medical tourism cooperation

Egyptian Assistant Minister of Health and Head of General Authority of Healthcare Ahmed El Sobky has met with the Ambassador of Cameroon to Cairo Mohamedou Labring to discuss strengthening medical tourism cooperation between the two countries, the Egyptian Ministry of Health stated.

According to zawya.com, the meeting touched on ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries to transfer Egypt’s experience in comprehensive health reform as well as cooperation in attracting medical tourism coming from Cameroon to Egypt for treatment in the authority’s hospitals.

For his part, Labring hailed Egyptian developments in health care and the country’s new universal insurance health system.
