Africa: Emirates reduces frequency on Abuja, Nigeria, to operate one way flights as it prepares to resume March 10th

Middle East carrier, Emirates Airlines has informed air travellers in Nigeria that it has reduced its frequency on the Abuja route to three times weekly on one-way flights as it prepares to resume airlift of passengers on March 10th 2021.

The airline according to atqnews.com had previously suspended the airlifting of passengers from country to the United Arab Emirates, airlifting only passengers bound for Nigeria from Dubai.

As instructed by the UAE authorities, the uplift of passengers on Emirates from Nigeria (LOS & ABV) to Dubai is temporarily suspended up to and including the 10th March 2021.

But in a new statement by the carrier, it said: “Please be informed that effective 20th of February until 9th of March 2021, Emirates will reduce flight frequency into Abuja (EK785/786) to three weekly flights which will operate on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

“Also note, as instructed by the UAE authorities, the uplift of passengers on Emirates from Nigeria to Dubai remains temporarily suspended up to and including the 10th, March 2021.

“You are advised to always check the requirements for your destination while planning your trip. “
