Addis Ababa City Administration and Ethiopian Airlines Group have signed an agreement to boost stopover tourism and develop new visitor attractions along the city’s riverbanks and corridor areas.
According to birrmetrics, the agreement follows a site visit by Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew and the management team to the city’s river and corridor development projects.

The memorandum outlines joint efforts to market Addis Ababa as a stopover destination for international travellers and to promote the “New Face of Africa” initiative.
It also includes cooperation on aviation safety measures and joint social and community development activities within the city.
City officials said the agreement builds on previous support from Ethiopian Airlines for the city’s river corridor development and provides a framework for coordinated implementation
