United Nigeria Airlines has appointed former Uganda Airlines executive Adedayo Olawuyi as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), a move aimed at strengthening the carrier’s competitive position and accelerating its expansion across domestic and international routes.
According to thesun.ng, Olawuyi brings more than 18 years of aviation industry experience to the role, with a career spanning commercial strategy, network and schedule planning, revenue management, and business development across several African carriers.
Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Uganda Airlines, where he played a key role in shaping the national carrier’s commercial direction.
Before that, he held the position of Head of Commercial at Africa World Airlines (AWA) in Ghana, and served as Head of Business Intelligence & Strategy at EAN Aviation Limited. Earlier in his career, he cut his teeth at Air Nigeria, formerly Virgin Nigeria Airways, where he worked across commercial planning, network analysis, and ground operations.
Olawuyi holds an Executive Master of Science in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Ibadan. He has also completed professional development programmes with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and other global aviation bodies.
