In a massive collaborative effort to upgrade environmental standards ahead of the upcoming tourist season, the leadership of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture alongside the Gambia Tourism Board (GTBoard) today led a comprehensive general cleaning exercise across key locations within the Tourism Development Area (TDA).
The extensive cleanup campaign spanned across major economic and recreational corridors, covering the Bertil Harding (BB) Highway, Palma Rima, Poco Loco, and Mansea strips, and stretching all the way to the OIC and Lemon Creek areas.
Today’s exercise serves as a major culmination of a week-long initiative, which also saw targeted visits to all local craft markets throughout the week.
