The gallery, under the leadership of Biodun Omolayo, a distinguished visual artist and collector, continues to produce, collect, and distribute paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and ethnic textiles, showcasing the richness of African creativity.
Setting itself apart, Biodun Omolayo Art Gallery is the only art gallery in Nigeria that runs all year-round creative workshops exclusively for children and teenagers, code named ” YOUNG AT ART” The Young At Art Children Children & Teenagers Creative Workshop, which has been in operation since 2003, has remained a consistent training ground for nurturing young talents in visual arts, literary and performing arts in addition to other creative expressions. Now in its 22nd year, the program provides hands-on guidance in artistic techniques, fostering the next generation of artists and creatives.
The gallery also embraces inclusivity, with a dedicated section for children with special needs, ensuring that all young minds, regardless of their abilities, can explore and develop their artistic potential. Creative facilitators are on hand daily to mentor and guide participants, making the program a transformative experience for every child involved.
The Biodun Omolayo Art Gallery could be regarded as the Family Gallery considering other programs and workshops that cater for the whole family aside the Young At Art Workshop. There is the SWEETART WOMEN CREATIVE WORKSHOP dedicated specially to the creative needs of ladies exclusively.
In addition to that is the LEADART MEN CREATIVE WORKSHOP designed specially for men, using art to unwind, relax, recreate, and innovate in a creative, unofficial and unconventional environment.
The senior citizens are not left out because of the special love the Chief Creative Officer has for the elderly. Their own creative programme is code named GRANDART CREATIVE WORKSHOP for men and women from ages 65 and above.
