The Imo State Government is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the state becomes a tourist destination in Nigeria.

This is just as the government in its quest to achieve this has turned the River Nworie in Owerri into a landscaped tourism leisure showpiece.

According to the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, he said: “We Are Chatting A New Course To Boast The Tourism Potentials Of Our Dear State”.

“Work has commenced on a new Owerri Recreation Park located on the banks of the Nworie River.

“The first phase is in serious progress. When completed the Owerri Recreation Park will stand as one of the largest parks in Nigeria for recreation and leisure.

“This will help to further boost our thriving tourism industry in tandem with our vision of making Imo State an irresistible tourism destination.
