Jazeera Airways is set to launch direct flights between Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Kuwait City on September 7, 2026, strengthening air connectivity and links between Ethiopia and Kuwait.

Ahead of the launch, Jazeera Airways Chief Commercial Officer Paul Carroll paid a courtesy visit to Ethiopia’s Tourism State Minister, Dr. Endegena Abebe, where they discussed opportunities to further strengthen connectivity between the two destinations.

Dr. Endegena highlighted the importance of the new route in linking Addis Ababa, Africa’s diplomatic capital, with Kuwait City, providing greater convenience for tourists, business travellers and diplomats. He said the new service would contribute to stronger tourism and business ties between Ethiopia and Kuwait, while expanding travel options between the two markets. Carroll disclosed that the new direct service will initially operate three times weekly, with Jazeera Airways planning to increase the frequency to daily flights as demand grows.

The route is expected to support increased movement of visitors, business travellers and professionals while creating additional opportunities for tourism and commercial exchanges between Ethiopia and Kuwait.
