The Director of Food & Beverage, Radisson Blu Ikeja, Lagos, Mariam Ogbolu, has been listed as one of the Top 100 Women in Hospitality in Nigeria.
Born and raised in Kaduna, Mariam Ogbolu is a senior hospitality executive with an unwavering passion and commitment to the industry.
Currently serving as the Director of Food & Beverage at Radisson Hotel Lagos Ikeja, Mariam has built an impressive career spanning over two decades, driven by her deep interest in food, nutrition, and human health.
She began her journey in hospitality as an Assistant Reception Manager at a Lagos-based hotel. Over the years, she advanced through various key roles in the Food & Beverage department, refining her expertise and leadership. After earning a Higher National Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics from Kaduna Polytechnic, she fully embraced her passion as a Food & Beverage Manager at Protea Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Mariam’s career has taken her across borders, including her role as Food & Beverage Manager at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi City, Ghana. Upon returning to Nigeria, she continued to expand her experience at Best Western The Island Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. She later took on the exciting position of Food & Beverage Manager at the upscale Radisson Blu Hotel Lagos Ikeja, where she now leads the department as Director.
In her current role, Mariam oversees all aspects of the Food & Beverage department’s operations, including restaurants, outlets, and the hotel’s signature fine-dining restaurant. Her responsibilities extend to restaurant reservations, research and product development, F&B training programs, operating procedures, and ensuring compliance with public health and hygiene standards.
Working closely with the general manager and a team of approximately 50 dedicated personnel, she plays a key role in managing daily operations, delivering exceptional dining experiences, and bringing to life special requests from both local and international guests. Beyond her professional achievements, Mariam is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of hospitality professionals. She actively volunteers with hospitality students and colleges across Nigeria, sharing her expertise to promote better food and nutrition choices that positively impact personal and public health.
Despite her remarkable career, Mariam finds her greatest joy in motherhood, cherishing her role as a mother to her son.
