The groundbreaking ceremony for “The Lagos Arena,” a revolutionary 10,000-seat venue, occurred at Palms Mall Lekki on Saturday, signaling a significant addition to Lagos’ event infrastructure, the new arena aims to surpass the current 6,000-seat capacity of Eko Hotel Expo Hall, promising an enhanced space for large-scale events and gatherings in the vibrant city.
The Lagos State Governor Jide Sanwo-Olu graced the unveiling of the edifice, spearheaded by renowned architectural firm Yazgan Design, marking the beginning of what promises to be a landmark achievement for the State.
Yazgan Design has envisioned a state-of-the-art facility covering 25,600 square meters, which matches the scale of its construction area.
With a focus on providing unparalleled experiences for international shows, concerts, sporting events, and more, the new arena will redefine the standard for hosting major events in Nigeria.

In a statement obtained by Surprise Africa from the developers, the central concept behind the design ensures excellent viewing angles from every seat in the house.
In addition to the main hall, the complex features numerous hospitality options such as wedding venues, lounges, cocktail areas, and exhibition spaces across varying sizes.
