The Nigeria Sub-National Investment and Tourism Information Roundtable is a strategic platform convened by the Nigerian Press Council and the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA), and the Nigeria Governors’ Forum. The initiative is designed to spotlight economic and tourism opportunities across the 36 States and the FCT.

The high-level engagement also featured the official launch of the National Compendium, “Nigeria: Documenting the Economic and Tourism Profiles of the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory,” a landmark publication designed to serve as a practical guide for investors, development partners, and tourism stakeholders.

Mr. Olayiwola Awakan GrPr, Director-General, NTDA, emphasises that Nigeria’s tourism potential is vast and deeply rooted in the identity of its people, with every State and the FCT offering unique experiences — from heritage and culture to nature, hospitality, and the creative economy. The Compendium further provides a structured and investment-friendly pathway for identifying and developing these opportunities.

As a partner in the Nigeria Sub-National Investment and Tourism Information Roundtable, NTDA reaffirms its commitment to promoting tourism, strengthening destination visibility, and supporting collaboration between national and sub-national stakeholders in unlocking the full value of Nigeria’s tourism
sector.
