Africa: Nigeria Secures 10th Spot Amongst Leading Nations for International Students in the United States, China Tops the List with 290,086

A recent report has revealed that Nigerian students make up just two percent of the international student population in the United States of America.

This statistic underscores the diverse global representation within U.S. higher education institutions and highlights the significant contribution of Nigerian students to the international student body in the country.

According to thenationonlineng.net, The United States Open Doors Report also highlighted that the number of Nigerian students increased by 12.3 percent to 14,438 in 2021/2022 academic session.

China and India alone represented 52 percent of international students in the U.S.
