Africa: Nigerian Carrier, Overland Airways Launches Lagos-Banjul Flights in Latest Route Expansion

Overland Airways is expanding its West African presence with the introduction of three weekly flights from Lagos, Nigeria, to Banjul, the capital of The Gambia.

The new route, which begins operations on December 21, 2024, underscores the airline’s commitment to strengthening regional connectivity.

According to aviationmetric.com, Overland Airways flights to Banjul will depart the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos by 2 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to land in Banjul International Airport by 5:30 pm, while the return flights will depart Banjul by 6:20 pm.

This new flight offers the shortest travel time between Lagos and Banjul, connecting through Freetown, Sierra Leone. With the new flight, Overland will also offer flights on the Freetown-Banjul-Freetown route.

This new route marks another milestone in Overland Airways’ expansion within West Africa, following the recent inauguration of its Lagos-Freetown, Sierra Leone, service.

It is a vital addition to Overland Airways’ growing network, reinforcing its commitment to improving connectivity across the African continent.
