Africa: Nigerian carrier, United Nigeria Airlines to begin regular flight operations to Owerri

New entrant into Nigeria’s aviation sector, United Nigeria Airlines has said the carrier will begin regular scheduled flight operations to the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport (SMICA) on Thursday, April 8, 2021.

According to the Head, Corporate Communications, United Nigeria Airline, Achilleus-Chud Uchegbu, the inaugural Owerri flight will depart the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MM2) in Ikeja, Lagos state at 7.00am and terminate at SMICA.

He said the airline will depart SMICA for MM2 at 11:30am, adding that it will depart SMICA at 8:30am for the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja.

He added that United Nigeria Airlines will also depart Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja for SMICA at 10:00am.
According to him, this will remain a regular schedule for United Nigeria Airlines on the Owerri route.
