Nigeria’s fast-rising singer Guchi is reportedly stranded in Kenya due to lack of proper accommodation and unpaid bills.

According to k24tv.co.ke, event organiser who talked to Plug TV claimed that the promoter who invited the singer to Kenya is broke and has no money for Guchi’s upkeep.

In a phone interview, the organiser sensationally claimed that the high-flying singer has been missing meals and surviving on bed and breakfast.

He said the promoter approached him before Guchi arrived into the country and asked him to scout for hotels where the singer will stay during her visit.

However, the organiser says when he submitted a list of the hotels, the promoter shunned all of them due to lack of money.

They later managed to get a place where the singer and his team would spend the night but the management later complained about the singer’s behaviour which was affecting people living in the neighbourhood.

“Guchi doesn’t know these things. They actually prevented her from doing exclusive interviews. I actually told the management to facilitate the interview because they were already there. But it wasn’t something you can say was successful,” the organiser claimed.

He stated that the singer was only surviving on bed and breakfast and it took his intervention for Guchi and her team to get other meals.

“You imagine they booked her for a bed and breakfast and since the hotel does not allow meals from outside, she has been serving without lunch. I had to talk to her management to allow her and her team to have something to eat for lunch,” he added.

Promoter denies claims
On the other hand, the promoter rubbished the claims arguing that his artiste was doing good adding that he is not working with the organiser whom he termed a fraud.

“Actually my artiste is doing fine. If those people didn’t bring the artiste and are not in the hotel how would they know that, my artiste is eating and drinking and doing everything she could,” he said.

Adding; “This person wants to get fame through my artiste who’s in Kenya, I will not allow that,” he said.
Guchi arrives in Kenya

In an update on her social media platforms, the singer had announced that she will be in Kenya for a music show on Saturday, July 9.

She shared a video on her Instagram page to confirm the show in the 254.

“What’s up my people its your girl Guchi and I will be live in Kenya, Nairobi for the Guchi live and concert so go get your tickets cause I can’t wait to see you,” she said in part.

Guchi arrived in Kenya via the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Thursday, July 7 and she was received by among others musician Stivo Simple Boy.

Stivo stunned many after turning up to receive the singer with gifts which included a bouquet of flowers and a customized hood, further expressing his crush for her.

Addressing the media, Stivo said he loves the singer and if given a chance he can date her and collaborate with her in doing amazing projects.

On her part, Guchi said she wasn’t sure if they will date and it will depend on how they will feel about each other when they spend time together.
