The Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA) has joined the people of Nasarawa State in celebrating the state’s 30th anniversary, participating in the Nasarawa Expo 1.0 and colourful carnival procession showcasing the state’s cultural heritage and tourism potential.
The NTDA Director General, Ola Awakan, led his team to the celebrations, which brought together diverse expressions of Nasarawa’s culture, fashion, food, creativity and community spirit.
The event was attended by the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, and the Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, alongside residents and other stakeholders.
The carnival procession provided a vibrant display of the state’s cultural identity, with participants showcasing traditional and contemporary fashion, local cuisine and creative expressions.
The NTDA’s participation underscored the importance of cultural celebrations in promoting destinations, strengthening community identity and highlighting the tourism assets that can attract visitors to the state.
The celebrations also provided an opportunity for residents to showcase the diversity of Nasarawa’s heritage and the cultural traditions that define its people.
As Nasarawa marks three decades as a state, the anniversary celebrations have placed its culture, people and tourism potential at the centre of the festivities.
Nasarawa State, popularly known as the “Home of Solid Minerals,” was celebrated with a colourful display of its heritage, creativity and community spirit.
