The Director General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR), Dr. Abisoye Fagade, along with the institute’s management team, recently visited Dr. Mukhtar Yawale Muhammad, MNI, the newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Arts, Tourism, Culture, and Creative Economy.
The visit was aimed at fostering collaboration and aligning institutional priorities under the new leadership.

During the visit, Aare (Dr.) Abisoye Fagade, FIMC shared updates on key activities, achievements, and challenges over the past six months in office. He emphasized how NIHOTOUR has expanded its mandate—beyond capacity building—by leveraging Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives in line with its Establishment Act.

From training and educating personnel, practitioners, and professionals in hospitality, tourism, and travel, NIHOTOUR is solidifying its role as a Regulatory force in the industry.
Dr. Yawale expressed his delight at the impressive strides made, applauding the DG and his team for repositioning NIHOTOUR positively.
NIHOTOUR remains committed to setting national standards and establishing world class best practices through registration, training, and certification, contributing it’s quota to economic growth and national development of Nigeria’s tourism and hospitality sector
