After a meritorious service in the civil service and a vibrant career exhibited in various capacity, especially at the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR), the Director, Media and Public Relations of agency, Ahmad Muhammad Sule will be retiring from the service.

Ahmad is a Teacher, a Journalist, a Public Relations Practitioner and Tourism Enthusiast. Ahmad was born on 22nd August, 1963 to the Muhammad Imam’s family of Saye in Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State.

He had his Qur’anic education at a very tender age under the tutelage of his uncle Malam Sule who had earlier migrated to Kaiama in Kwara State. By 1970, Ahmad began his Primary School Education which he finished in 1975. From 1976 to 1981, Ahmad attended Government Secondary School Kaiama, Kwara State. Upon completion of his Secondary School Education, Ahmad relocated to his home state, Kano.

Ahmad Muhammad Sule is presently the Director, Media and Public Relations of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR), with headquarters in Abuja. It is a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture. He started work in 1981 as Clerical Officer with the Kano State Ministry of Education before proceeding to study English/History at the Federal College of Education, Katsina in 1983 and graduated with the Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in 1986.

He taught English Language and Social Studies at the Government Arabic Teachers College, and Government Secondary School, Gwale, Kano from 1986-1992 The quest for more knowledge saw Ahmad admitted at the Mass Communications Department of Bayero University, Kano in 1987 and graduated with BA (Hons) Upper Second Class, in 1990.

He did his Youth Corps Service in Niger State in 1991 where he did his primary assignments first at the State Newspaper Company, Newsline and concluded his remaining service year as the Corps Liaison Officer of the state at the NYSC State Secretariat, Minna. Upon completion of his first Degree in Mass Communications from Bayero University, Kano in 1991, Ahmad continued his teaching career until he took up appointment as the Public Relations Officer with the Kano State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA) in 1992.

He became a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, (MNIPR) in 1992 and worked as a Public Relations practitioner for six years. To further broaden his professional practice in Journalism, Ahmad moved to the Triumph Publishing Company as Senior Reporter in 1998. During his stay at the Triumph Newspapers, Ahmad was a member of the Editorial Board. He served as Group News Editor, Desk Editor Features, Pioneer Editor of Environment and Property Column, Editor Agriculture Column and Contributor to Features and Special Reports of all the Triumph Stables.

He was also the Reporter and Co-coordinator of Reports on Government Projects, a Special Center Spread of Daily Triumph Every Friday. He worked as a journalist and member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) for Five years, during which he has to his credit several Feature Articles and Publications on thought provoking Topical Issues and Discourse of Local, National and International interests.

Ahmad was appointed Pioneer Senior Assistant Registrar, Media and Public Relations of the Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil, in 2002. He worked in this capacity where he established the vibrant Unit under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for three years.

In 2006, Ahmad took up appointment at the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, (NIHOTOUR) as Chief Public Relations Officer and gradually rose to his present position of Director, Media and Public Relations from where he is proceeding on the Three Months Retirement Leave before he Exits from the Civil Service on 22nd August, 2023 on account of age at 60 years.

Ahmad has attended several courses in Public Relations and Journalism to enhance his professional skills and competence as well as other work-related fields in Tourism, Environment, Housing and leadership Development to grow performance in his workplace. He is widely travelled in Nigeria. Ahmad is married and blessed with children.
