A cabin crew staff of Aero Contractors, Gideon Anumege, on Saturday, physically assaulted a married woman in Lagos.
The incident occurred at the Obawole suburb of Lagos, where the victim runs a grills outlet.
Our reporter gathered that the attacker’s wife had made an order for a N2000 worth of chicken and chips, which was collected by their house help.
While the woman was a waiting for her transfer, Anumege sent insultive messages to Mrs Bisola.
The victim replied the message with a voicenote, saying, “Pls Sir with due respect, don’t send this type of message to me again. I don’t like it”.
Within minutes, Anumege had arrived on his power bike, and parked in front of the victim’s shop. He thereafter charged at her despite resistance from the victim’s husband and customers around.
The unexpected assault left the victim with an injured eye, physical harm, and in a state of trauma.
The husband of the victim, a journalist threatened to report Anumege to the Management of Aero Contractors, his employer. But surprisingly, he arrogantly said he had not beaten up the victim in an aircraft, hence, the airline will not do anything to him.
Anumege also threatened to subsequently destroy properties at the scene of the assault if his bike, which was pushed away from the entrance of the outlet, is not repaired.
Many eyewitnesses, who tried to hold the beserk airline staff, told our reporters that the attacker acted in a manner that was shocking and unexpected of an aviation personnel.
One witness who gave his name as Tolu said “I saw it all happen. I wondered why someone could raise his hands and beat someone’s wife. He should face the law
In the meantime, petitions have been submitted to the Management of Aero Contractors while the police are on red alert due to the threats to life of the victim and her properties.
Counsel to the assaulted woman told our reporters that the attacker will face the long arm of the law and implications as the case will be charged to court soon after police investigations.
