Overland Airways marked a significant milestone with the commencement of flights into the newly commissioned Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna, Niger State.
The inaugural flight ceremony was attended by the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo SAN, FCArb (UK), and the Executive Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mohammed Umar Bago, underscoring the federal and state governments’ commitment to expanding regional air connectivity.

According to a statement by Special Adviser to the Hon. Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, the event held today, 23rd April 2025, also had in attendance several dignitaries which include the Honorable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alh. Mohammed Idris; Honorable Minister of State for Agriculture, Sen. Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi; the Managing Director/CEO of FAAN represented by the Director Human Resources and Administration, Dr. Luqman Olatunbosun Emiola; and the Director Corporate Services FAAN, Engr. Jensen Asaba.
As part of the activities, the HMA&AD led the dignitaries on a joint inspection of facilities of the Airport, during which he reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing aviation infrastructure and regional connectivity across Nigeria.
