Paul Kavanagh, General Manager of The Wheatbaker Hotel in Lagos, is celebrating five years of leading the iconic hotel, reflecting on a journey filled with achievements, challenges and personal health struggles.
In a message on LinkedIn, marking the anniversary, Kavanagh revealed that the hotel recorded 61 record months out of 62 during his tenure. He also highlighted the challenges of operating the hotel for two years while construction work was ongoing.
Despite these challenges, he credited the hotel’s team for their support, encouragement and ability to bring laughter into his life during difficult times.
“It is the people of the Wheatbaker, our Wheatbaker family, that carried me through,” he said.
Kavanagh concluded by expressing gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout the five years, describing the milestone as something he never expected to achieve.
